I have been giving Scout and
Guide Groups as well as local youth
groups and also women's guilds
members the chance to do Glass Engraving since 1987 locally
and from 1992 I have visited
member experience this
fascinating past time I have had people from different countries have a go
at engraving a glass. I now have a large
collection of designs that can be
used covering the alphabet, plants, animals, transport and other symbols.
Waltham Guides learning the art
of glass engraving
in 1996 I have had help from 2 members of the Portsmouth Fellowship Robin
& Rosemarie Watson and their children Emma & Kieran
At Poacher 2000 the team swelled to 7 members
when we were joined by Shirley & Ray Westhead
Unfortunately as with all things the team are
unable to meet up as much as we like and so I have to ask those camps that
I attend to provide me not only with the Glasses but also with a minimum
of 2 helpers so that the base can be run safely
Here are some pictures from
some pictures taken at Poacher
