The station had the call of GG100LNG as an extra special event station celebrating 100 years of the guide movement this call sign is allocated to the county for use at any event celebrating the centenary for which we put an Amateur Radio Station on between Sept 2009 and Oct 2010

Approx 270 Guides attended what was a very COLD WET weekend but that didnt dampen their enthusiasm for all the activities that where put on for them

even though the shack was only 15'x30'approx we had 2 radio stations on the go both being capable of operating on  HF&VHF other bases included SSTV, Morse, Sign language and QSL card making .
